Structural Steel Installation - Apex Tech Tower

Vanguard is soliciting lump-sum bids from qualified steel fabricators and erectors to furnish, detail and erect structural steel for the Apex Tech Tower in Austin, Texas.

• Approximately 2,400 tons of wide-flange, HSS and plate girder framing for the podium transfer levels
• Rooftop mechanical screen framing, davit supports and dunnage for cooling towers
• Level 3 pedestrian skybridge with a 118-foot clear span
• Embeds, anchor rods and connection design for all moment and braced frames
• Shop drawings, erection drawings and a BIM model coordinated to LOD 400

Work is sequenced around an active tower crane and a continuous concrete core pour cycle. Steel erection is scheduled to begin in February 2027.

• AISC certified fabricator and certified steel erector status
• Experience modification rate (EMR) of 1.0 or lower for each of the past three years
• 100% performance and payment bonds from a U.S. Treasury listed surety
• Commercial general liability of $2M per occurrence and $5M aggregate, plus a $10M umbrella
• Completed bid form, schedule of values, erection sequence narrative and crane plan
• Small and diverse business participation plan targeting 18% of contract value
